I recently found the memorial handout for my siblings funeral. My mother named them Josiah and Emily. This Poem was on the last page and I know it meant a lot to my mom.
"IF I KNEW THEN...
If I knew then what I know now,
You never would have died.
I'd have held you close
And kept you by my side.
I'd have sung you songs
And treasured you,
More than silver, More than gold;
But this song is all I'll give
To the Babe I'll never hold.
I've never written poetry
That hasn't been a praise
To the Lord who wept with me
And held me through those days.
Jesus, now I'm asking,
I know You hear my plea,
Won't You take that child
In Your hands, And hold my Babe for me."
The front of the handout shows this verse "...For the Lord shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended."
AMEN!

Jill was such a a strong woman. I miss her dearly. I think about her often and wish I could just talk to her again. I loved her as if she was my mother, I did consider her my 2nd momma.
Kayloni,
This was so special. I cried as I read it, I'm forever changed. I'll carry her message with me and share it with anyone who needs to hear it, should the Lord place them in my path. Love, Aletha
